Kingston Fire Hall

Kingston Fire Hall

Over the years the rear parking area of the Kingston Fire Hall suffered from poor drainage and the area that was paved has deteriorated. Trap Rock would donate stone each year to fix the unpaved area and that stone would always get swallowed up by the wet ground. In 2024 the Fire chief reached out for advice on how they could pave the rear lot. Sales representative Chris Schweitzer and Safety Director Joe Chrobak (lifelong Fire Fighter) met with them and suggested they talk with the South Brunswick Engineer as to what they would be allowed to do. The south Brunswick Public Works department was consulted and it was decided that Trap Rock would donate the asphalt and South Brunswick would provide the labor to help the fire company improve their parking lot.

Description of Work Done:

The South Brunswick public works department fixed the poor subgrade soil and improved the drainage prior to paving so the lot would last.
