Trap Rock has a long history in Burlington County with 3 asphalt plants. When Trap Rock did their own paving The County Overlay was a job that they were frequently successful low bidder on.
Valued customer Black Rock Enterprises was awarded the job in the spring of 2024. They wanted to pull the Hot Mix for the project primarily from the Mt. Holly plant so they could easily meet their production goals. Most roads had to be milled prior to being paved. There would be no mill/pave operations as per the job specification. That meant that everything milled had to be repaved by the end of each week. This schedule would mean there would be long hours and some big tonnage days to keep the county engineers happy.
Key Project Highlights:
- 700,000 square yards of comprehensive milling and paving operations.
- Numerous county roads throughout Burlington County.
- Navigating work zones around multiple schools and busy county intersections.
